Define
Trust is built for a market that still wants to pay when the box is in the hand.
Mechanism
Risk reversal by logistics. COD, try-before-you-pay, and a visible return path are the offer architecture, not a footnote.
Verdict
The category still leaks at prepaid checkout, or first-time buyers have been burned by delivery.
Don't
We cannot fulfill or collect. Promising COD we will not honor is the opposite of trust.
Copy skeleton
[ABOVE THE FOLD: trust before ask] الدفع عند الاستلام · ما تدفع إلا لما يوصل الطلب ليدّك [OR] Pay on delivery. You do not pay until it is in your hands. Body: item → COD restated → free shipping over [THRESHOLD] → CTA [WhatsApp close] تقدر تدفع عند الاستلام · نثبّت الطلب لـ [ADDRESS]؟
Gulf note
Treat COD intensity as a market dial. Egypt and Morocco often need it as the headline trust claim. Urban GCC card trust is higher: keep COD available, do not let it signal a cheap seller. Pair it with a delivery window and easy refuse language.
