Celebrity endorsement

What the ad shows

A wide banner on a dusk city street blurred with motion, a white Mazda CX-90 driving in from the right with its headlights on. On the left, bold white 'مازدا CX-90' sits over the subhead 'سـيارة اس يو في العائليـة الفائزة بالجوائز', and below it two award lockups divided by a thin rule: the gold Arab Car of the Year 2024 roundel ringed with Arab flags and the gold TAS award plaque, each beside a black box of Arabic text.

The pattern

This still is filed under Celebrity endorsement.

Define

A named, recognizable person lends their reputation to the claim. The name is the proof.

Mechanism

Transferred authority. The reader believes the person first, the product second. Fame or office does the work a peer testimonial does not.

Verdict

The endorser is actually known to the buyer

Read the pattern

Why it works

Instead of claiming the car is good, the banner borrows the verdict of two named awards and glosses each in Arabic, so the reader gets the judgement without reading the English plaques. The subhead 'العائليـة الفائزة بالجوائز' fuses category and proof into one label aimed at the family buyer. The Arab Car of the Year roundel, ringed with Arab flags, makes the endorsement regional rather than foreign.

The big idea

Two named 2024 awards do the selling, so the CX-90 is introduced not as a good car but as the family SUV that the judges already picked.

The offer

The Mazda CX-90 family SUV. No price, finance offer or call to action is printed.

The proof

Two 2024 award badges: Arab Car of the Year (best family SUV) and TAS Premium Family SUV of the Year, each with an Arabic gloss beside it.

Steal this when

When a product has won recognisable third-party awards and a short Arabic gloss of each badge can sit beside the hero image.
