al-Qatra al-Agiba eye drops ad, al-Kashkul 1925
American University in Cairo, Rare Books and Special Collections Library. al-Kashkul. RBSCL believes this item is in the public domain.
The pattern
This still is filed under Borrowed medical authority.
Define
The claim wears a lab coat: a diagram, a percentage, a clinical tone that is not necessarily a clinician.
Mechanism
Authority costume. Science-looking form transfers trust. Use it only when the substance matches, or we are documenting a historical mechanism. We do not recommend the abuse.
Verdict
We have real evidence and the buyer needs it in a form they already trust: a chart, a protocol, a named standard.
Why it works
The headline is an instruction about the reader's own eyes, and the next line narrows it to one product and no other. The copy then piles up outside approval: the testimony of famous doctors, a government medal and the health council's endorsement, followed by a long list of named eye complaints so each reader can find his own. In 1920s Egypt, where eye disease was common, that list turns a general claim into a personal one.
The big idea
Protect your eyes with al-Qatra al-Agiba and no other: drops whose inventor reached a formula nobody had found before, named "the wonderful drops" for curing stubborn eye disease.
The offer
Use and always ask for al-Qatra al-Agiba and no other, for granules, inflamed and congested lids, redness, watering eyes, blurred vision, weak sight and other chronic eye complaints.
The proof
The testimony of the most famous doctors, a government medal and the Health Council's approval, good reports from leading eye doctors in Egypt and abroad, and trials on many patients who fully recovered.

Steal this when
Use it when a product treats many related problems and listing them by name lets each buyer recognise their own case.
