Mechanism

Accumulation. Each add-on is priced in the mind, then included. Distinct from a guarantee stack: this adds value, that removes risk.

Verdict

The extras are real and wanted. The stack should survive a skeptical what do I actually get.

Why it works

The top of the ad is a book cover, 'انتصرت على الموت', billed as a wonderful book summarised by the writer Sufi Abdallah, so the issue arrives with a whole book folded inside it. Below it a two-column table of titled articles with bylines like al-Aqqad and Tawfiq al-Hakim keeps adding value, followed by a panel on why young people do not read and the regular sections. Only the last bar gives 164 pages for 7 piastres, after the reader has already counted the lot.

The big idea

Lead with a whole book folded into the magazine, a digest of 'Victorious over death' by Sufi Abdallah, then pile named articles under it until the price closes.

The offer
