The pattern
This film is filed under Reason-why.
Define
A specific reason the offer is priced, timed, or structured this way. Not a mood. A reason.
Mechanism
Justification. A concrete cause makes a claim feel earned. Because we overbought. Because the season ends Sunday.
Verdict
The price or the ask looks irregular
Why it works
It starts with the customer's body, not the product: الأذن غريبة, the ear is strange, and it is not round. Once the viewer agrees, the question answers itself and the new shape feels like common sense rather than a design choice. The row of different ears does the proving without a single spec.
The big idea
The ear is not round, so round earphones never fit: the new shape is sold as the logical answer to the ear itself.
The offer
The new Apple EarPods, shaped to sit in the ear; the description adds a remote to adjust volume and answer calls.
The proof
Demonstration by comparison: several different real ears shown one after another, none of them round.
Lines from the ad
They should be like this, shaped like the ear, of course, so they fit your ears
So why should earphones be round?
The ear is strange. I don't know what this shape is, but it is not round
Steal this when
When your product's shape breaks a category habit and you can trace the change to a plain fact about the user's body or life.
The emotion
Written to Curiosity. It makes the Say move.
It names a precise gap, why earphones are round when ears are not, and closes it within seconds with the new shape.
