Why it works

The booklet sells the face the way it will actually be bought: not as an alphabet but as a page of reading. By setting real literary prose from named contemporary authors, it lets the buyer judge colour, fit and texture at reading size, and it borrows the standing of the writers for the type. The contents page is quietly a specification sheet, mapping each extract to its point size, so browsing and specifying happen in one motion. The preface does the positioning in a single sentence, condensed but not plain, modern but not archaic, which pre-answers the two objections a printer would raise about a revival. Availability only with the Monotype machine turns the specimen into a reason to buy the system, not just the face.

Steal this when

You are launching a product whose benefit only appears in ordinary use, and buyers cannot judge it from a feature list. Show it doing real work at several scales, borrow credibility from named sources, and let one sentence handle the positioning.
