Why it works
It uses a familiar, engaging children's story (the Trojan Horse) to keep the booklet in the home and get children to read it. The pivot is masterful: it admits the bottle wasn't really in the cave, but frames Scott's Emulsion as the modern equivalent of the piper's magic tune, making children hungry and healthy rather than stealing them away.
