Verdict
Buyers choose by eye or by hand and we can put the real thing in front of them.
Why it works
Ornament sold as a grid of specimens is a parts catalogue and asks the buyer to imagine the result; ornament used to build the cover shows the result and lets the buyer work backwards to the parts, which is a far shorter route to an order. Gold on near-black is the cheapest available way to look expensive in a single pass on the press, and on coarse board the ink sits up and reads as metal. The circular wreath imposes a centre on a rectangle, and the sloped script then sits inside that centre, so the type reads as subject and the ornament reads as setting, which is exactly the relationship the printer will need on a real job.
Steal this when
Use this when you sell components, modules or assets and the buyer cannot picture the finished thing. Make the sales piece itself out of the components, so the demonstration and the deliverable are the same object.
