The pattern

This still is filed under Reason-why.

Define

A specific reason the offer is priced, timed, or structured this way. Not a mood. A reason.

Mechanism

Justification. A concrete cause makes a claim feel earned. Because we overbought. Because the season ends Sunday.

Verdict

The price or the ask looks irregular

Why it works

The headline opens on an absurd requirement in the second person, so the reader's first reaction is the intended one, that she obviously does not have one. Hopkins then lists three more impossibilities, the Ritz chef, the secret recipes, the steam oven, and closes the trap with a flat sentence, nobody has them, converting a factory process into an argument the reader cannot answer. This is the preemptive claim at work: the steps described are ordinary to the industry, but no competitor had yet said them out loud, so saying them first makes the brand sound like the only one that does them. The restaurant count and the daily buyer number then move the decision from her own judgement to the visible behaviour of professionals and other women.

Steal this when

Use this when your production process is genuinely thorough but not actually unique in the category, and no competitor has bothered to describe it. Name the steps in detail, then state plainly that the customer cannot perform them.
