The Ault & Wiborg Company [Green trees against a yellow sky] - poster
The pattern
This still is filed under Image carries the claim.
Define
One image does the entire argument. Copy, if any, is a caption, not a second ad.
Mechanism
Pictorial claim. The picture is readable as a sentence. If we need a paragraph, we picked the wrong picture.
Verdict
The idea is visual and the surface is a poster, a feed, or a silent frame.
Why it works
Colour is used as the entire idea: green on yellow with black line is a limited palette forced into a positive-negative reversal, so the foliage reads as holes cut in the sky. Restricting the text panel to one colour and one size and justifying it into a solid block turns a company name and address list into a flat pattern that balances the picture instead of trailing beneath it. The sheet advertises range by showing restraint, which is a more credible argument for ink strength than more colours would be.
Steal this when
Reach for this when you have a two or three colour constraint and a lot of mandatory copy. Set the copy as one justified block in a single accent colour so it becomes a design element with weight, rather than a caption hanging under the art.
