Nederland Royal Mail Line. Algiers-Genoa-Port Said and Algiers-Southampton-Amsterdam
The pattern
This still is filed under Image carries the claim.
Define
One image does the entire argument. Copy, if any, is a caption, not a second ad.
Mechanism
Pictorial claim. The picture is readable as a sentence. If we need a paragraph, we picked the wrong picture.
Verdict
The idea is visual and the surface is a poster, a feed, or a silent frame.
Why it works
The ship is absent. Selling a crossing with a portrait of the place makes the route the product and quietly sidesteps the fact that every line's vessel looks the same in a drawing. The composition is three flat shapes and one focal face, which is what lets it survive being seen from across a street, and the diagonal of the hat brim aims straight at the company name. Setting the routes as strings of destination names rather than as a timetable turns logistics into a list of promises.
Steal this when
You sell transport, logistics or any service where every competitor's equipment is interchangeable. Drop the equipment, build one arresting image of the destination or the outcome, and let the route or scope line carry all the practical detail at the foot.
