Why Woolens Shrink

The pattern

This still is filed under Iconic figure claim.

Define

A single figure, drawn, silhouetted, or posed, is the whole claim. You can read it across a street.

Mechanism

Compression into a body. The figure is not decoration. It is the sentence. Distance-legibility is the test.

Verdict

Poster scale, outdoor, packaging at a glance

Why it works

The headline sells the explanation, not the product - the reader has already lost a garment to shrinkage and wants to know why, so curiosity about her own past failure pulls her into copy that happens to be a soap ad. Naming three specific causes converts a vague fear into a controllable variable, and two of the three are things she does rather than things the wool does, which makes the fix credible. The copy then spends most of its length as an instruction set rather than a claim, which reads as service and doubles as a demonstration that the product cannot work the old way. The explicit permission line at the end attacks the conventional wisdom directly instead of ignoring it.

Steal this when

Use this when buyers avoid a whole behaviour because they have been burned by it. Explain the real cause in three named factors, then hand over the corrected procedure step by step so the product arrives as the tool the procedure needs.
