The pattern
This still is filed under Iconic figure claim.
Define
A single figure, drawn, silhouetted, or posed, is the whole claim. You can read it across a street.
Mechanism
Compression into a body. The figure is not decoration. It is the sentence. Distance-legibility is the test.
Verdict
Poster scale, outdoor, packaging at a glance
Why it works
The headline is one sentence broken across four positions on the sheet, so the eye assembles the claim while travelling around the figure rather than reading a block. Cappiello converts an abstract product benefit, warmth, into a physical event the viewer can see from across a street, which is the whole mechanism: you cannot draw relief, so you draw fire. Two complementary colour systems are doing separate jobs, yellow and red for the words and green and blue for the body, so text and image never compete for the same wavelength. The ailment list is set last and largest at the foot, catching the reader who has already been stopped by the picture and now wants to know whether it applies to him.
Steal this when
Steal this when your product's benefit is invisible and internal, such as relief, warmth, calm or speed, and the literal product shot shows nothing. Invent one physical event that the benefit would cause if it were visible, then let the words merely label it.
