The pattern

This still is filed under Iconic figure claim.

Define

A single figure, drawn, silhouetted, or posed, is the whole claim. You can read it across a street.

Mechanism

Compression into a body. The figure is not decoration. It is the sentence. Distance-legibility is the test.

Verdict

Poster scale, outdoor, packaging at a glance

Why it works

The halo does the persuasion: a device borrowed straight from religious panel painting transfers sanctity onto a commercial bottle without a word of claim. The bottle sits at the one point where the figure's hand and the table edge meet, which is the only hard horizontal in an otherwise vertical composition, so the eye is dropped onto the product on the way down. The panel format was cut for kiosk columns and doorframes, and it forces a single figure, a single object and no body copy, which is exactly the discipline the piece needs. Colour is held to cream, gold and pale green so the green glass bottle is the most saturated thing in the design.

Steal this when

Use this when a product's whole claim is its origin or its maker, and you want reverence rather than argument. Borrow a sacred framing device, put the real pack at the single horizontal break in the layout, and cut all body copy.
