Why it works
The format does the work first: the narrow vertical panel matches a hoarding column and forces a single full-length figure, which reads at distance as one silhouette rather than a scene. Orazi then breaks his own type band by letting the diadem cross UNIVERSELLE, which fuses lettering and figure into one image instead of a caption over a picture. The falling discs of incense smoke are a graphic trick, not a literal drawing - they give the flat yellow field a rhythm and a downward reading direction that pulls the eye the length of the panel. Holding to one hue family means the poster still registers as a shape in poor light and from across a street.
