Why it works
The figure is a single black silhouette interrupted only by the shirt front, so the poster resolves as a shape at distance and only becomes a person up close - the same reduction as the Maxim-Bar sheet, applied to a standing pose. The two horizontal rails give the standing figure something to lean on and fix the eye level, which stops a mostly white sheet from floating. The straws in the yellow glass are the only prop and the only warm accent, and they name the category, drinks, without a word of copy. Type is confined to one corner panel and letterspaced wide, so the name reads as a discreet plaque rather than a shout, which is itself a class signal consistent with the figure.
