A hero is born
The pattern
This still is filed under Event symbol poster.
Define
A symbol or allegory that makes an event feel like a destination. Not a timetable. A magnet.
Mechanism
Attraction by emblem. Date and venue ride under a picture that already means come.
Verdict
We are filling a room, a night, or a run of dates
Why it works
The image sells the genre before a single word is read - armour, castle, stars, so the reader knows within a second whether this is their night out. Colour does the hierarchy: only three inks, and orange is reserved for exactly two things, the title and the venue, which are the only facts a passer-by needs. Putting the price range in plain type at the bottom removes the main objection of a 1937 audience without negotiating or apologising for it.
Steal this when
Copy this when the product is an experience whose category is its main appeal and the buyer's live objection is cost. Lead with a genre-signalling image, restrict your accent colour to the name and the place, and let the price sit openly at the foot instead of hiding it behind an enquiry.
