Mechanism
Authority by treatise. The reader who accepts the argument has already accepted the seller as teacher.

Why it works
The argument is built by first establishing scale, the 85% figure and the sheer range of a housewife's buying, so the reader cannot dismiss the subject before the criticism lands. Then it names a specific professional failure, over-feminizing, and gives it a memorable label, which is how internal documents change behaviour rather than merely being agreed with. The suffrage slogan is borrowed as the corrective because it is short, already carries moral weight, and cannot be argued with. Quoting the derisive phrase angel-idiot makes the stereotype visible as a stereotype instead of as a neutral default.
