Bank Albilad: Up to 35% bonus Avios when you transfer points
BankAlbilad · X · https://x.com/BankAlbilad/status/2107493641153376309 · Embedded from X
The pattern
This commercial ad is filed under If-then promise.
Define
A conditional contract: if you do this, you get that. The sentence can be tested against the reader's own case.
Mechanism
Specificity does the persuading. The if names the action. The then names the outcome. Hedging kills it.
Verdict
We can name both the action and the result without adjectives
Why it works
The caption opens on the payoff, 'سفرتك الجاية على حساب نقاطك', so idle points are reframed as a free trip before any percentage appears. The 35% in the headline is the top tier: the small print gives 15% below 50,000 Avios and 25% up to 99,999, so the bonus pays most to those who move the biggest balances. The sunset cove and the airline's jet overhead give the points a destination instead of a number.
The big idea
Points sitting in a bank rewards account become a flight: move them to Qatar Airways Avios in October and the bank tops them up by as much as 35%.
The offer
Up to 35% bonus Avios when Albilad Rewards or Travel Pass points move to Qatar Airways Privilege Club, 1 to 31 October 2026: 15%, 25% or 35% depending on transfer size.
Lines from the ad
سفرتك الجاية على حساب نقاطكYour next trip is on your points
حوّل نقاطك اليوم واستعد للإقلاعTransfer your points today and get ready for take-off
استمتع بما يصل إلى 35% نقاط أفيوس إضافيةEnjoy up to 35% bonus Avios points
Steal this when
When a loyalty program wants members to spend a dormant balance and a partner can add a time-boxed top-up that grows with the amount moved.
The emotion
Written to Excitement. It does neither clearly.
It leads with the trip, 'سفرتك الجاية', and gives one step, transfer today, but the October dates and the 15% and 25% tiers for smaller transfers sit only in the small print.
