The pattern

This still is filed under Scarcity close.

Define

A real limit (time, units, seats, eligibility) that makes delay cost something.

Mechanism

Loss of option. The close is the disappearing chance, not a louder adjective. Fake scarcity is a different and worse pattern.

Verdict

The limit is true

Why it works

The headline is a date window, not a promise, so the reader meets a deadline before a sales line. The body names four languages and says the new classes are for beginners only, which answers the quiet fear of walking into a class already ahead of you. It closes with a direct instruction to reserve a place now and three branch addresses in Cairo, Heliopolis and Alexandria.

The big idea

Berlitz opens new classes for true beginners in four languages over a fixed ten-day window in January, so the reader should book a place before it passes.

The offer

New beginner classes in French, English, German and Italian, 5 to 15 January 1928. Reserve a place now in Cairo (Emad al-Din Street), Heliopolis (14 Abbas Street) or Alexandria (12 Fouad I Street).
