Why it works
The white oval is the whole mechanism - it punches a clean, high-contrast hole in a dark patterned ground so that six lines of information can be read at poster distance without any of them touching the picture. Inside the oval the type is sized purely by importance and letterspaced to fill each line edge to edge, so the block reads as a single designed shape rather than a stack of sentences. The bouquet supplies variety and abundance without naming a single artist, which is exactly the claim a group exhibition wants to make.
Steal this when
Use the oval-on-pattern device when you have a decorative or busy image you do not want to crop and several lines of hard information that must stay legible - carve a solid light shape out of the background rather than laying type over the art. The bouquet logic itself is worth stealing whenever you are selling a collection, a roster or a line-up rather than one hero item.
