Why it works
One ink and one drawing. By restricting the whole sheet to a single slate-green, the crayon tone of the figure and the solid strokes of the lettering read as one hand, which is the entire argument of the poster: this is a drawing show, made by artists. The generous white margin is the status signal - cheap posters fill the sheet, this one leaves two thirds empty. The type ladder at the foot does the practical work in strict priority order: what it is, whose it is, when it runs.
Steal this when
Your event has to look serious and hand-made rather than promotional. Give it one drawn image, one ink, huge white margins, and put every fact in a descending type ladder at the bottom.
