Why it works
The layout is a crime plot compressed into one frame: nightclub, woman, bowed man, weapon, crowd of judges, all readable in that order because each element sits on its own flat plane at a different value. Calling it a case rather than a play frames the audience as jury, which is a positioning choice made entirely in one word of the title. Naming the source work does the job a review quote would, borrowing recognition the new title has not earned yet.

Use this when you are launching something adapted or derived from a known property - name the source in a subhead directly under the new title, and let one composite image carry the plot instead of a synopsis.
