Why it works
One ink, two values, and the whole hierarchy comes from where the paper is left. The subject word is not enlarged so much as stretched: it runs the full sheet width in a reserved band at the foot, which in relief printing is the cheapest possible way to make a word dominate. The mirrored birds are not an illustration of the exhibition's contents, they are a symmetrical enclosure that funnels the eye inward and downward to the address block, so the reader gets the where before the what. The underlined hand-drawn 22 deliberately breaks the letter rhythm, which is what stops a house number from being skimmed past.
Steal this when
You are printing one colour on cheap stock and the reader needs an address or a date more than a description. Build a symmetrical enclosure, reserve the key word as a full-width band at the foot, and break the rhythm on the single detail people would otherwise skip.
