Why it works
The figures are drawn as toys, not as performers, which sets expectation for a light comic operetta and quietly excuses any staging limitation of a municipal production. The card is divided into four clean corners - title, date, sponsors, venue - so every practical question has a fixed address and the illustration owns the uncontested centre. The angled slashes substituting for quotation marks and the calligraphic 'The' are the same hand-lettered flourishes as the figures' costume detail, which is what makes the lettering and the drawing read as one object. Stacking the sponsor credits vertically in small type buys institutional legitimacy without letting three agency names crowd the sell.

Use this when an event needs to feel gentle and family-safe and you want illustration to lower the perceived difficulty of an art form.
