Why it works
It advertises art by being art: the three groups are rendered in the same chalky, heavily outlined manner as the sculpture and painting the show would contain, so the poster is a free sample rather than a claim. Floating the figures on bare white with no border reads as gallery wall rather than street hoarding, which quietly sorts the audience. All administrative text is pushed out into the white margins left and right of the central figure, leaving the single solid ochre band at the foot to carry the one line that must survive being read at distance. The flower mound is a colour hinge, the only saturated area on the sheet, and it sits exactly where the eye has to pass from figures to title.
Steal this when
You are promoting work whose look is the entire reason to attend or buy: a show, a portfolio, a studio. Render a real sample in its own technique, push dates and logistics into the negative space, and reserve one solid band at the foot for the single line that has to carry across a street.
