Why it works

Lower-case display lettering at that scale is the whole personality decision: the show is grotesque and comic, and an all-caps title would have made it civic. The two heads are cut in hatched blocks rather than line, so a three-colour screen produces modelled faces without halftone, and turning them inward leaves a void at centre that holds the eye. Setting the schedule in loose handwritten script and the price in rigid caps separates the flexible detail from the one fact that closes the sale, ADMISSION FREE, which gets the largest weight in the lower half.

Steal this when

You are advertising a free cultural event with multiple showtimes and need character rather than authority. Give the title informal lower-case display lettering, put the schedule in a softer hand, and set the word FREE at the same weight as the venue.
