Obey cancer's danger signals
The pattern
This still is filed under Event symbol poster.
Define
A symbol or allegory that makes an event feel like a destination. Not a timetable. A magnet.
Mechanism
Attraction by emblem. Date and venue ride under a picture that already means come.
Verdict
We are filling a room, a night, or a run of dates
Why it works
The headline and the closing line are a matched pair set in the same face at the same weight, so the poster opens with a command and shuts with the objection handled - obey, and then do not wait for pain, which names and kills the exact excuse the reader is about to reach for. The six signs are specific enough to be self-administered, with durations and body parts given, which converts vague fear into a checklist someone can actually run on themselves. Numbering them in circles and tying each to a point on the body by a leader line makes the diagram and the copy a single instrument rather than a picture beside a list. Naming two institutions supplies the authority that a scare message needs before it will be obeyed rather than resented.
Steal this when
Use this structure whenever the reader's default behaviour is delay and the cost of delay is invisible - name the excuse verbatim in the closing line and kill it. The numbered-signs-plus-leader-lines layout is the right form any time you need a lay audience to self-diagnose against criteria they cannot be trusted to remember.
