Why it works
The poster is split hard into two registers: everything above the rule is temperature and movement, everything below it is fact, and the hairline box makes the switch explicit so the reader never has to hunt for the details. Colour does the selling - a saturated blue field against orange and crimson drapery at maximum contrast, with no modelling or shading to soften it, which is what makes it legible from across a street. The place name is set larger than the event itself, because for a hill resort exhibition the destination is the draw and the exhibition is the excuse. Substituting V for U in PITTVRA e SCVLTVRA is a deliberate Roman-inscription cue, buying classical authority for a provincial summer show.
Steal this when
Steal this layout when the emotional pitch and the practical details are fighting for the same space. Give the top three-quarters entirely to one atmospheric image with no text in it, then rule off a hard-edged box at the foot and put every fact - place, dates, what it is, who is behind it - inside that box in strict size order.
