Why it works
The poster spends everything on one word. FAUSTUS set the full width against black makes the title the event, which is the correct bet when the property is already famous enough to need no synopsis. The two-ink discipline creates the mood on its own - green on black reads as phosphorus and graveyard - and the classical serif signals that this is a canonical text rather than a novelty, which is the reassurance the skeleton would otherwise undercut. Omitting dates and prices keeps the sheet an image rather than a notice.
Steal this when
Use this structure when the name of the thing is the strongest asset you have and detail would only dilute it. One word at maximum scale, one emblem, one colour pair, venue at the foot - then put the schedule and pricing somewhere else.
