Why it works
The light beams do the layout work: two yellow wedges run from the car to the animals and then down to the headline, so the eye traces cause, victim and instruction in one movement without any arrows or panels. Colour is used as a clock - the whole sheet is night violet, and the only warm marks are the headlights and the animals' rim light, so the threat and the victim are the sole things that register warm. The animals are cropped mid-leap rather than shown struck, which puts the outcome one second in the future and hands the decision to the driver.
Steal this when
Use this when the behaviour you want changed happens in a specific instant: draw that instant from the offender's point of view, leave the outcome one beat away, and place the instruction exactly where the eye finishes travelling.
