Why it works
The plan view is the whole trick: by looking straight down, the designer turns a piano and two children into pure geometry - one big curve and two circles - which silkscreens perfectly and reads from across a park. Setting the type on the same diagonals as the piano lid makes the words part of the illustration instead of a caption pasted on top, so the sheet has one shape, not two. The maroon mass occupies about half the area and every piece of text is placed either against it or inside it, which is what keeps a four-colour flat poster from falling apart.
Steal this when
Steal the overhead viewpoint when a familiar object is visually cluttered from the front and you need it to reduce to a silhouette. Steal the angled type-on-object lockup for event posters where the venue is chaotic and the poster must read as a single shape.
