30 Mai, 1.3.5. Juni Weltflüge Berlin-Leipzig-Dresden. 4. Juni Flugzeugparade in Johannisthal
The pattern
This still is filed under Event symbol poster.
Define
A symbol or allegory that makes an event feel like a destination. Not a timetable. A magnet.
Mechanism
Attraction by emblem. Date and venue ride under a picture that already means come.
Verdict
We are filling a room, a night, or a run of dates
Why it works
The poster replaces a picture of flight with a diagram of the route: three cities as three fixed points, and the triangle that connects them is also the block that holds every word. That single shape does the work of an illustration, a headline panel and a price list at once, which is why a dense tariff can sit on a poster without killing it. Colour is rationed to three flat inks, so orange appears only on the event name and the shields, and blue only on the aircraft, letting the viewer sort what is the offer and what is the subject at a glance. The aeroplanes are drawn as silhouettes with no interior detail, which reads at distance and, at the date, also flatters the machines by making them look deliberate rather than fragile.
Steal this when
Steal the geometry when your event is defined by the places it connects - a tour, a route, a multi-city series. Build one hard graphic shape out of the route, hang the city marks on its corners, and set every word inside the shape so the dense practical detail arrives as part of the image instead of as a footnote.
