The pattern

Define

The product does the arguing. The viewer sees the thing work, not a slogan about the thing working.

Mechanism

Proof by performance. The claim is the action: a visible, testable result the reader can replay.

Why it works

The product claim is carried entirely by the artefact rather than by an argument: nothing says the inks are brilliant, the sheet just is brilliant, which is proof by sample. The ornamental frame does the attention work while the centre panel is deliberately kept as flat open tint so the type reads as a clean colour test rather than a picture. The numbered colour key at the foot converts an art poster into an order form by making every hue on the sheet specifiable, which is the move that turns decoration into a sales tool.

Steal this when

Use this when the thing you sell is a component or a material whose quality only shows once it is used. Make the advertisement out of the product itself and caption the exact specification beside it so the reader can order what he is looking at.
