Steendrukkerij v/h Amand Amsterdam. Warmoesstraat 147
The pattern
This still is filed under Demonstration ad.
Define
The product does the arguing. The viewer sees the thing work, not a slogan about the thing working.
Mechanism
Proof by performance. The claim is the action: a visible, testable result the reader can replay.

Why it works
The product is invisible - printing - so van Caspel prints a picture of printing, and the sheet doubles as proof of capability. The extreme foreground crop of the lithographer's head and the diagonal recession to the press give a flat trade subject depth and scale on a wall. One ink keeps the job cheap while the tonal range from solid red to open hatching still shows what the shop can hold on stone.
Steal this when
You sell a production service and the only honest demonstration is the artefact itself. Make the ad out of the thing you are selling, and put the address where the largest type is.
