The pattern
This still is filed under Demonstration ad.
Define
The product does the arguing. The viewer sees the thing work, not a slogan about the thing working.
Mechanism
Proof by performance. The claim is the action: a visible, testable result the reader can replay.

Why it works
The format carries the argument. At roughly one to two and a half the sheet cannot hold a scene, so it holds a single vertical, and the two dark curtains narrow the aperture until the eye is funnelled down the spire to one small lettered panel. The name is deliberately small because it is placed where the composition has already delivered the eye, and a small name in the right place beats a large one fighting the picture. Gold is rationed to two points on the spire, the only saturated notes against the browns, so the sheet still registers from across a street. The curtains also solve a production problem: two thirds of the area is flat dark, which is cheap to print and makes the pale spire read as lit.
Steal this when
You have a tall narrow slot, a banner, a lamp-post sign, a phone-screen vertical, and a low-interest everyday product. Build one vertical, use dark mass to narrow the aperture, and put the name at the bottom of the funnel rather than the top.
