The pattern

This still is filed under Demonstration ad.

Define

The product does the arguing. The viewer sees the thing work, not a slogan about the thing working.

Mechanism

Proof by performance. The claim is the action: a visible, testable result the reader can replay.

Read the pattern

Why it works

The buyer is drawn from behind and with his face hidden, so the reader can stand in his place and inspect the goods with him, while the merchant keeps his face and character, which is what makes the provenance believable. The merchandise is used as background pattern, wallpapering the entire sheet, so the range reads as enormous without a single word about stock. The superlative is kept out of the picture and set as a flat two-line footer, so the image sells the experience and the type carries the position claim; the drawn medievalising capitals give a bazaar subject a hand-made, non-industrial voice.

Steal this when

Use this when you are selling sourcing or provenance rather than a specific item. Show the supplier handing goods to a faceless buyer the reader can occupy, tile the background with the range itself, and let one flat line of type carry the market-position claim.
