Define
The product does the arguing. The viewer sees the thing work, not a slogan about the thing working.
Mechanism
Proof by performance. The claim is the action: a visible, testable result the reader can replay.

Why it works
Scale carries the hierarchy with no rules or boxes: presenters small, star names enormous, so the poster is legible as a billing from across a street and as a credit up close. The medallion photograph does the work a drawing could not - it lets a stranger recognise the performers when they arrive in town, which is what turns a poster into ticket sales for a touring act. The Art Nouveau linework is confined to the upper left and around the oval, leaving the lower half flat green, so the ornament reads as decoration rather than competing with the names.
Steal this when
Use when the name is the product and recognition is the sale - a touring act, a speaker, a named practitioner. Put the endorsing organisation small at the top and give the person's name most of the sheet.
