The pattern

This still is filed under Demonstration ad.

Define

The product does the arguing. The viewer sees the thing work, not a slogan about the thing working.

Mechanism

Proof by performance. The claim is the action: a visible, testable result the reader can replay.

Verdict

We can show a result in seconds

Read the pattern

Why it works

Fear copy done properly: the product is never shown, only the thing it prevents, so the reader supplies the benefit himself. The word Dit at the head of the line has no referent in the type, so it points at the picture and drags the eye down into the crash before the sentence can finish. The shocked child at the fence is a surrogate for the viewer and fixes how the scene should be read, and the two-word close converts that fright into a purchase that can be made in the room the reader is standing in.

Steal this when

You sell a cheap component or safety part whose value stays invisible until it fails. Show the failure in full detail, keep the product out of the picture entirely, and close with an availability line that makes buying it the obvious exit from the feeling you just created.
