Define
The product does the arguing. The viewer sees the thing work, not a slogan about the thing working.

Why it works
The metaphor picks a builder rather than a banker, so an abstract financial product with nothing to photograph becomes a visible physical act - carrying a brick uphill - and the customer is cast as the hero doing it rather than as a client being served. The banderole makes the argument explicit in six words at the exact point where the eye arrives, so the picture is never left to be guessed at. The tall narrow column, the scroll borders and the star-strewn dark field all quote stained glass and guild banners, which lends a young workers institution the visual authority of something old and permanent. Every element including the name is hand-drawn in one idiom, so the poster reads as a single crafted object, which is itself the argument for a bank that claims to be built by hand by its own members.
Steal this when
You are selling something abstract with no product to show - insurance, a fund, a membership - and need one physical metaphor that turns a payment into a visible act of building. Also the reference for putting the explanatory line on a banderole inside the image, so the picture and its meaning arrive together instead of in separate zones.
