Cycles Omega Paris affiche Henri Thiriet
The pattern
This still is filed under Demonstration ad.
Define
The product does the arguing. The viewer sees the thing work, not a slogan about the thing working.
Mechanism
Proof by performance. The claim is the action: a visible, testable result the reader can replay.

Why it works
The strapline and the drawing carry the same fact from two directions: SANS CHAINE states it, and the bicycle is rendered with enough mechanical precision that the missing chain is legible at poster distance. That is a demonstration, not a claim. Setting the brand name vertically up one pier frees the whole centre for the figure and keeps a five-letter word at a size it could never hold horizontally. The wings and the raised hand quote a religious annunciation, which is a deliberate mismatch with a bicycle component - the incongruity is what makes a drivetrain change feel like an event. The frame is flat, poster-coloured and unmodelled, so the modelled figure inside it lifts forward.
Steal this when
Use this when your product's advantage is the absence of something the category takes for granted - no chain, no contract, no agency fee. Name the absence in the largest secondary line, then draw or photograph the product from the angle where the missing part would have been, so the claim is verified by the picture.
