Confetti (for J. & E. Bella paper manufacturers) - poster
The pattern
This still is filed under Demonstration ad.
Define
The product does the arguing. The viewer sees the thing work, not a slogan about the thing working.
Mechanism
Proof by performance. The claim is the action: a visible, testable result the reader can replay.

Why it works
The hands enter from beyond the frame, which makes the poster a fragment of a bigger event happening around the viewer rather than a scene to be observed; the product appears as action, never as merchandise. Lettering and stipple are deliberately mixed so the dots break across the word Confetti, tying the type to the thing it names instead of labelling it. The figure is built almost entirely from untouched paper, so the lightest area of the sheet is the face, and the eye lands there first before following the arms outward. Manufacturer, address and printer are kept in small cursive at the margins, so the trade information is present without ever competing with the demonstration.
Steal this when
Steal this for a cheap, undifferentiated commodity whose value only appears in use. Show the moment the product creates, crop the participants so the viewer is inside the event, and reduce the manufacturer's details to a discreet line at the side.
