Why it works
The calendar is the payload. Turning the ad into a dated object the buyer wants on the wall buys twelve months of brand exposure for one print run, and the recipient does the hanging. Mucha keeps the selling furniture inside the picture rather than stuck on top of it: the LU monogram is woven into the dress as textile pattern, so the trademark is learned by looking at a beautiful thing instead of being announced. The offered plate points out of the frame at the viewer, which converts a decorative panel into a gesture aimed at a person.
Steal this when
Use this when you want a promotional object people voluntarily keep, and the product is pleasant but undifferentiated on features. Build the utility first, the calendar or the wall chart or the reference sheet, then sink the brand mark into the ornament rather than badging the corner.
